Here's a great shot of the transition from the early-stages scenery, to the nearly-completed scenery. What a difference weathering, vegetation, soil and rocks make!

I call this a "teaser" photo. You can obviously see that something's going on over in the right corner there, but at this distance it's hard to tell exactly what. But you can see the nice fabric skirting that my wife made for the layout. Not only does it look nice, it hides boxes of supplies and whatknot stored beneath the layout.

Okay, here's a little closer shot of the big mountain section. You can see that I've been busy. The building in the middle is a Walther's Cornerstone structure that doesn't seem to be in production anymore... I believe it was a mattress company building. The trees are a combination of Woodland Scenics and other brands.

A little closer view and you can see some of the bunch grass, scrubs, wildflowers and green valley grass.

Here's a real close-up of the tunnel exit. This photo shows the realism of scenery weathering. I'm not an expert modeller, but even a rookie like me can do wonders with a little imagination and a whole lot of patience! Well, that's about it for this project. I didn't make it much farther before having to sell the entire kit and caboodle. Hopefully one of these days I'll have the time, money and space to construct a whole new layout! Thanks for looking!
